Don’t forget who had your back during WWII.

Literally my fave thing about the USA is how we said “fuck your redcoat language” when England acted stupid and made weird changes like dropping the U (and other stuff)
have we all conveniently forgotten who else uses the u?

You fuckers didn’t show up for WWII until japan started shit.

Frank Zappa - Apostrophe'
[Flash 9 is required to listen to audio.]

dontlookdown:

“Apostrophe’” - Frank Zappa
from Apostrophe (‘) (DiscReet, 1974)

Sometimes you just need a slab (and I use that term in the nicest possible way) of badass instrumental rock, which is something that Frank Zappa always excelled at.
While his ‘with-lyrics’ songs feature some of the most intriguing poetry of the last fifty years, they demand attention and don’t work well as background noise when you’re settling down to your daily hour-or-so of internet surfing.

There’s no deep discussion here (from Frank or myself), just a tab that you might want to keep open while you’re doing your own internet thang.

I’ve decided these posts need some sort of weekly theme to keep me focused, and writing that last paragraph has given me this weeks banner: stay tuned to DLD throughout the next six days for more songs from more Franks!

This and Peaches en Regalia are instrumental classics.

I’m not sorry for anything.
